Once a Conjure vial has its bar code, the vial is placed in the Conjure Carousel, which holds up to 36 Reagent Vials and 4 Rinse Vials. Upon the validation and execution of an experimental plan within the Conjure Control software application, the Conjure will initiate a Carousel Load function.
During the Carousel Load, the Conjure Carousel is rotated and the bar code reader begins scanning for vials and their bar codes. The vials are actually scanned twice in two different rotational positions so that the barcode reader identifies vials that may not be aligned properly or with crooked labels. The vial bar codes are stored in the Fluid Prep Module memory and matched to the reagent bar codes in the experimental plan. If all reagents are present, the Conjure will begin to execute the experimental plan, if not, an error message will be displayed on the conjure Control Interface.
Once all the vials are present, the Conjure Carousel is rotated into the Vial Load Position — A, where the vial is vertically lifted from the carousel and into a septum piercing needle. The vial is completly removed from the carousel freeing the carousel to rotate to Vial Load Position — B to load another vial.
