Segments are processed serially when each segment experiment differs by temperature or residence time.
Segments are processed in a serial/parallel methodology, which signigicantly increases throughput
when sequential segments share the same temperature and residence time.
Segments may vary by stoichiometry for optimization and/or as in screening and library production
composition of matter.
Reactions are easily scaled in segmented flow by using the Prep Mode, which creates hundreds of
segments based the appropriate composition and injects segments using serial/parallel methodology
with little to no Transport Solvent between segments. Immiscible spacers are used in each segment
to minimize diffusion.
