Both the Conjure and Propel are capable of performing chemical reactions with
some of the most aggressive acids and bases. For example, using neat H₂SO₄ for such reactions as Ritter Reactions are routinely used on our systems.
Because segmented flow isolates the Transport and Syringe Pumps from the actual reaction materials, the systems easily handle strong acids and bases. In continuous flow, it is common issue that when pumping aggressive materials through the pump, the pump head materials become contaminated and stop functioning properly.

Accendo's systems use only two types of wetted materials: Hastelloy and PTFE,
both of which are extremely inert to commonly used organic chemicals.

Our segmented flow systems also use a variety of materials for the reactor, which include Hastelloy, Copper and PTFE.
